ASSHOLES & BITCHES!

Category: the Rant Board

I'm part of a Yahoo! group that sends music & movies between it's users.

I've had a backlog of emails so I didn't get to a file in time & it was deleted from sendspace.
I asked the person who deleted it if they could send me the tracks (there was 4 of them) individually. I new it might be more of a hassle to upload them, so I just asked.
I didn't beg, nor did I bitch at this person for deleting their files (which would have been a dumb thing to do on my part).
I just asked if they could send them my way.

Instead of saying:
"I'm sorry, but I don't feel like doing that for you."
they say:
"Well you know, those music files aren't up there forever! You should get them while you can! I really don't want to gather them together or send them individually!"
Well excuse me for living you bitch!

I hate it when you ask for something politely, & instead of replying in kind (politely) the other person has to come off with an attitude that makes you want to punch them in the face (if you ever met them in real life).

Where has the politeness gone???

I wanted to email this person offlist & tell them exactly what I thought, but instead decided to vent here.
At least it won't get me kicked off the list. Lol.

What music did you want? There are other ways of getting it. You don't have to get so mad...

She's not mad about the music, but the way the person she requested the music from replied to her e-mail.
It seems that we encounter this problem too many times in life. No matter how polite you are to a person, they still get angry or cross with you. There's just no way around it. And if I were you, I would reply to that person's e-mail saying that you were just asking politely, you were just requesting something, and if they really don't want to do it, they don't have to, but they didn't have to reply so harshly to you and you weren't being rude or impolite in anyway in the last message you sent. It's always better to respond to rude people with politeness, because that makes them feel like an asshole.

I agree with Distortion.
What group is this called?

well, if this person on the list is female, perhaps they don't sell mytall or any other pms relieving medication where she lives. You should write her off list and suggest she investigate the local drugstore and see what they offer. If it's a guy, well, ...all i can say is, sometimes we're just like that, for no apparent reason.

Bella:
Yes, I do. I'm not even sure what the songs were.
This person has a little side group they run (under the radar) of the other group. They send out daily attachments of 4 songs that have to deal with a specific thing like 4 love songs or 4 graduation songs, you get the idea. So I'm not sure what the songs were because by the time I joined the group, it was already in a zipped folder on sendspace.

I'm not mad about the music anyway. You missed my point entirely.
Why can't people be polite about things is my main issue.
Not sure how that didn't come across??
